Overview

We are seeking a proactive and independent Product Project Manager to lead cross-functional projects from initiation through deployment and rollout in a SAFe Agile environment. The candidate will drive project success by coordinating with Product/Engineering and external stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables and effective risk management. This role demands autonomy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced product environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Initiation: Work with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and key artifacts, such as the Lean Business Case (LBC), ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Requirements Coordination: Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure product requirements and user stories are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with project timelines within a PI (Program Increment) structure.
• Risk and Deliverable Management: Track project risks, issues, and deliverables using tools like RAID charts and Gantt charts to maintain transparency and accountability.
• Autonomous Delivery: Manage projects independently, proactively identifying challenges and driving solutions without requiring extensive oversight.
• Progress Tracking: Utilize project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, RAID logs, burndown charts) to monitor milestones, dependencies, and overall project health.
• Follow-Up and Feedback: Implement effective follow-up processes and feedback loops to ensure stakeholder alignment, continuous improvement, and successful project outcomes.
• Stakeholder Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams (e.g., Product, Engineering) and external organization-wide stakeholders to foster collaboration and trust.
• Dependency Management: Coordinate deliverables across teams, managing external factors such as delayed onboarding or cross-team dependencies to keep projects on track.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in a cross-functional, dynamic product development environment.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile principles, with experience in initiating projects and managing requirements.
• Proficiency in creating and managing tracking artifacts (e.g., RAID logs, Gantt charts, burndown charts).
• Ability to work independently, proactively engaging stakeholders and driving project success.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to facilitate collaboration across teams and external partners.
• Experience establishing follow-up mechanisms and feedback loops to ensure project alignment and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with managing deliverables impacted by external factors, such as delayed team onboarding or cross-team dependencies.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools like Smartsheet or similar platforms.
• Experience with ServiceNow for ticket management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects across global, remote teams, effectively navigating time-zone differences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address risks and issues proactively.
• Based in India, with the ability to work remotely in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile certifications like SAFe Agilist).
• Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Miro).
• Familiarity with enterprise-scale product development processes.
• Advanced analytical skills for resolving complex project challenges.
