The GeM Tender Specialist shall be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of government tenders on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. The role involves daily monitoring of the GeM portal to identify relevant bids, tenders, and procurement opportunities aligned with the companys product and service portfolio. The specialist will evaluate bid eligibility, technical specifications, delivery timelines, and commercial conditions prior to participation.

The incumbent shall prepare and submit end-to-end technical and commercial bids, including uploading compliance statements, technical datasheets, drawings, certificates, undertakings, and all mandatory documentation as per bid requirements. Ensuring strict adherence to GeM guidelines, buyer specifications, and statutory compliance is a key responsibility to avoid technical disqualification.

The role includes handling all pre-bid and post-bid communications with government buyers, responding to clarifications, managing price justification requests, and drafting replies to disqualification or rejection notices in coordination with management. The GeM Tender Specialist will also track bid status, L1/L2 positioning, and contract awards.

Post-award, the specialist shall coordinate contract acceptance, delivery schedules, invoice uploads, CRAC/SRAC generation, and payment follow-ups with internal teams such as technical, logistics, and accounts. Maintaining accurate records of tenders, orders, and documentation, as well as keeping the GeM catalogue, product listings, and company profile updated, is essential.

Additionally, the specialist will monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and buyer procurement patterns, and prepare periodic reports on tender performance, wins, losses, and improvement areas to support management decision-making.
