Are you an experienced
Application/Production Support Engineer
with strong expertise in
Linux/Unix
,
Oracle
, and
WebLogic
? We're looking for a contractor to join our team and support critical enterprise applications in a high-availability environment.


What You'll Do:

  • Provide
    Level 2/3 support
    for enterprise applications in production.
  • Troubleshoot issues across
    Linux/Unix
    ,
    WebLogic
    , and
    Oracle
    environments.
  • Monitor application and system health; respond to incidents and outages.
  • Collaborate with development, database, and infrastructure teams for deployments, fixes, and upgrades.
  • Drive root cause analysis and improve system stability.
  • Write/maintain automation scripts (Shell, Python, etc.).
  • Document support processes and knowledge base entries.


What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years in
    Application/Production Support
    roles.
  • Strong in
    Linux/Unix command-line and shell scripting
    .
  • Proven experience with
    Oracle DB
    (SQL, tuning, troubleshooting).
  • Hands-on with
    WebLogic Application Server
    .
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Nagios, OEM, etc.).
  • Knowledge of
    incident & change management
    (ITIL practices).
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with
    job schedulers
    (e.g., Autosys, Control-M).
  • Exposure to
    CI/CD pipelines
    ,
    cloud environments
    (AWS/OCI), or
    containerization
    .
  • Scripting experience beyond shell (Python/Perl a plus).
