Location: Trivandrum, Kerala
Department: Front Office / Guest Relations
Reports To: Front Office Manager / Duty Manager
Job Summary
The Front Office Assistant is responsible for providing efficient, courteous, and professional service to guests during check-in, stay, and check-out. The role ensures smooth front office operations, maintains guest satisfaction, and upholds the service standards of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities Guest Services
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously.
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions in and around Trivandrum.
- Assist with transportation arrangements, tour bookings, and other concierge services.
Front Office Operations
- Operate the Property Management System (PMS) for reservations, billing, and guest record updates.
- Manage room assignments, key control, and maintain accurate occupancy data.
- Ensure all check-in/check-out formalities and billing procedures are completed accurately.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments for room readiness and service requests.

- Communication & Coordination
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and messages efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain a daily log of guest feedback, incidents, and operational updates.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations.
Cashiering & Billing
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Prepare daily reports, summaries, and cash tallies as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- +2 ./ Diploma / degree with experience in relevant field
Experience:
- 1–3 years of front office or customer service experience in a hotel or hospitality setting (experience in a 3-star or similar facility preferred).
Skills:
- Excellent communication in English and Malayalam (Hindi/Tamil an added advantage).
- Proficient in MS Office and hotel PMS software preferred
- Strong customer service orientation, grooming, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Pleasant personality, courteous demeanor, and attention to detail.
Work Schedule
- Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, or night shifts as per hotel operations.
Remuneration
- Competitive salary as per industry standards, with additional benefits such as meals, uniforms, and incentives.

Pay: ₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
