Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to lead payroll operations across multiple regions, including the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Australia, South Africa, the Philippines, and India. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. This role will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers/PEOs.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration & Processing
Coordinate with HR for payroll inputs and work with PEO providers (ADP) to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing (bi-monthly, or monthly cycles).
Ownership of end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, with an emphasis on US, Canada and India.
Ensure payroll reconciliations, ensuring payroll registers align with financial records.
Address escalations related to discrepancies, tax issues, or payment delays.
Partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and Tax teams to ensure accuracy and a positive employee experience.
Compliance & Reporting
Assist with statutory reports such as W-2 (US), 1099 (US), 24Q TDS Return (India), T4/T5 (Canada), EHT, WSIB, CRA filings, and Revenue Quebec requirements.
Liaise with external auditors during audits and inquiries.
Confidentiality & Data Integrity
Safeguard sensitive payroll data and ensure compliance with data privacy requirements.
Maintain strong internal controls to prevent unauthorized access to Payroll Data
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, Filters).
Hands-on experience of dealing with ADP, PEO and other global payroll platforms.
Effective communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 3+ years in a global payroll management role.
Direct experience managing US, Canada and India payrolls is required, experience with UK, Philippines or Australia payrolls highly preferred.
