We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Enterprise Transformation Office in Mumbai. Reporting to the Program Director, this role will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of strategic projects, including global capability centre build-outs and other enterprise-wide initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes, deliver large-scale transitions, and drive operational excellence as the organization expands globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently lead projects or large workstreams within enterprise transformation programs.
  • Drive the build-out of Global Capability Centres (Mumbai focus) and support/lead strategic projects by facilitating project calls, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define priorities, resolve issues, and achieve project objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute project plans including timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring deliverables are met and signed off.
  • Conduct governance reviews, toll-gate signoffs, and maintain transition templates across projects.
  • Ensure smooth business transition planning, balancing risk and commercial objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor training and competency status during transitions/migrations to ensure quality execution.
  • Manage scope changes, assess impacts, and secure stakeholder approval.
  • Use dashboards, metrics, and project plans to track performance and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct postmortems and lessons-learned exercises to improve best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, escalate issues as needed, and remove project roadblocks.
  • Promote digital tools adoption to drive continuous improvement and transformation.

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally within the funds industry (preferred) or financial services sector in a regulated environment.
  • Proven track record of successful end-to-end project delivery (operational/migration projects experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Experience in financial management, budget tracking, and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Project Management, Business, or related discipline.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM) preferred.
