Human Resources Manager

Role Overview:

• Manage all Industrial Relations (IR) issues, including handling grievances, disciplinary matters, and internal conflicts to maintain a harmonious work environment.
• Ensure the factory operates in strict compliance with all local and national labor laws (e.g., Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, ESI, PF, Gratuity, Bonus, Contract Labour Act).
• Liaise with external legal counsel, government labor authorities, and factory inspectors as required.
• Manage and negotiate with workers' committees or unions, if applicable.
• Develop and execute recruitment strategies for all factory positions, including skilled and unskilled labor, supervisors, and technical staff.
• Manage the contract labor engagement process, ensuring all contractors and their employees comply with statutory requirements.
• Oversee the onboarding, induction, and exit process for all factory employees.
• Implement and manage a performance management system tailored for the factory environment (e.g., KRA/KPI setting, performance reviews).
• Identify training and development needs for the factory staff, coordinating with relevant departments to implement programs on safety, technical skills, and leadership.
• Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, productivity, and reduce absenteeism/attrition.
• Manage employee welfare activities, including housing, canteen, transportation, and health check-up programs.
• Administer employee benefits and compensation as per company policy and legal requirements.
• Work closely with the HSE department and Plant Head to promote a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols and training are in place and rigorously followed.
• Lead investigations for any workplace incidents or accidents.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in related field. A Master's degree (MBA/PGDM) in Human Resources Management is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years specifically as an HR Manager in a 
  manufacturing or production facility, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Proven track record in managing Industrial Relations (IR) and handling statutory compliance is essential.

Skills:

• Deep knowledge of Indian Labour Laws and Statutory Compliance
   (Factory Acts, ESI, PF, etc.).
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced factory environment.
