Odoo Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Odoo Developer with strong expertise in Odoo Enterprise v18 and hands-on experience in ERP implementations. The ideal candidate will be Odoo v18 certified, with additional technical certifications and a proven track record in module development, integrations, and performance optimization. Knowledge of Flutter programming will be an added advantage, enabling contributions to Odoo related mobile app extensions and custom client solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Odoo Development & Customization

• Develop, customize, and maintain Odoo v18 Enterprise modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, HR, CRM, Manufacturing, etc.).
• Extend and adapt Odoo's core features to meet evolving business needs.
• Build custom apps, fields, and workflows within Odoo Studio and via Python-based modules.
• Design and optimize QWeb reports and advanced UI components.

Integration & API Management

• Develop and manage RESTful APIs and web services for interoperability with external systems.
• Integrate Odoo with third-party applications (payment gateways, e-commerce platforms, shipping providers, BI tools, etc.).
• Ensure seamless synchronization between Odoo and external systems (CRM, HRIS, ERP add-ons).

Database & Performance

• Optimize PostgreSQL queries and ensure high database performance.
• Implement caching, load balancing, and performance tuning for large-scale deployments.
• Conduct regular system health checks, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Security & Compliance

• Apply Odoo security best practices (access rights, record rules, encrypted communication).
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations (VAT/ZATCA, GDPR, IFRS, etc.).
• Manage user roles, permissions, and audit logging.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to capture requirements.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and review code quality.
• Support system deployment, upgrades, and version migrations.
• Maintain documentation (technical specs, SOPs, coding guidelines).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Certifications:
• Odoo v18 (mandatory).
• PostgreSQL (preferred).
• Linux System Administration (preferred).
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Odoo development experience (v14–v18).
• Proven expertise with Odoo Enterprise features and modules.
• Experience with cloud platform.
• Hands-on experience in multi-company and multi-currency implementations.
• Oracle JD Edwards exposure is an added advantage.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, QWeb.
• Knowledge of Flutter programming (for mobile app extensions and Odoo integrations).
• Familiarity with Linux environments, Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Business Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of ERP workflows (accounting, supply chain, HR, CRM).
• Ability to map business requirements into Odoo solutions.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities in English (Arabic is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications (Future-Ready Skills)

• Knowledge of AI/ML integration with Odoo (predictive analytics, intelligent automation).
• Experience with multi-tenant Odoo deployments for SaaS offerings.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) for external portals.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Terraform for IaC.
• Previous experience in industry-specific Odoo modules (Retail, FMCG, Healthcare, Manufacturing).

Pay: ₹45, ₹95,000.00 per month
