Job Purpose: The Lead in Strategic Planning drives the development and execution of long-term strategies for business growth in the solar sector. This role involves driving investment cases, overseeing digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring alignment of operational plans with market opportunities and company objectives.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Initiative Development:
- Lead the development of long-term strategic plans for business expansion and vertical integration within the solar manufacturing.
Collaboration with Ancillary Ecosystems:
- Coordinate with sister companies, such as Vishakha, to align expansion plans and ensure operational & cost efficiency.
Competitor Benchmarking:
- Conduct periodic benchmarking wrt product, technology, cost, quality and share market intelligence / roadmaps of competitor movements
Cost Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of operational costs and CAPEX for new plant setups, benchmarking against competitors.
Policy Advocacy:
- Engage with government stakeholders to advocate for favorable policies that support the solar manufacturing industry growth.
Forecasting and Data-Driven Analysis:
- Analyze and interpret data for critical stakeholders and leadership discussions.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor progress against strategic targets and adjust plans as necessary based on market feedback and internal performance metrics.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Facilitate communication between different departments to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and market opportunities.
Opportunity Identification:
- Identify and evaluate new customer segments and geographic markets for potential expansion.
Innovation:
- Strategically integrate cutting-edge technologies, such as automation and IoT, to drive organizational transformation, enhance operational capabilities, and secure a competitive advantage in alignment with the department's long-term strategic goals.
Digitalization Strategy:
- Oversee the implementation of digital tools and dashboards to ensure real-time data availability for decision-making.
Leadership in Change Management:
- Leading the implementation of new technologies and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption during changes.
People Development:
- Leading from the front & being accountable for the professional growth of your teams. Developing/conducting/promoting training & learning initiatives to enhance skills & empowering them to take ownership of key processes and decisions.
