The Team
The SharePoint Developer/Admin role provides on-going and strategic development tasks for Alvarez and Marsal SharePoint application including SharePoint Online. The candidate will be providing support on the technical design of custom SharePoint Online applications, along with supporting the day-to-day functionality of the SharePoint Online environment. This person will support the Microsoft Engineer Lead in providing technical guidance to level 1 support team as well as providing training to A&M users. The individual will also collaborate with 3rd party technical support on new and existing development projects. He/she participates in creation of technical specifications and contributes to project planning activities. This individual will practice and implement of best-in-class application solutions. The position involves creating technical specs, technical solutions and development efforts for small to midsize projects. For project oriented development the developer must work as part of a larger team to understand and implement specifications, communicate technical issues, and actively participate in functional, technical and code reviews. The candidate will be able comprehend and support existing Power Automate workflows, along with SPFx and PowerApps applications. He/She should be able to investigate and resolve bug fixes without impacting the functionality of the application
How you will contribute
The SharePoint Developer/Admin has one or more of the following responsibilities:
Software Development
Experience in contributing to multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to research and develop comprehensive architectural solutions across multiple IT disciplines.
Strong development experience in Power Apps and Power Automate, utilizing Center of Excellence practices.
In depth knowledge of SPFx, NodeJS, C# and including the use of web forms, custom user controls, validation controls, data access components.
Provide technical guidance to the project team. Strong knowledge of SDLC.
Have a deep understanding of SharePoint's features, functionalities, and architecture.
Experience in reusable objects, classes and components
Strong working experience performing complex queries using a variety of SQL based tools and technique.
Working Knowledge of web server configuration and web architecture fundamentals
Ability to communicate with cross-functional development teams
Review incoming requests and provide basic analysis of possible solutions
Documentation
Contribute to writing of technical specifications
Contribute to technical wikis
Project Planning
Provide level-of-effort estimates for projects and maintenance tasks across functional teams
Quality Assurance
Create QA scripts for QA purpose
Review and provide test case feedback
Align with Business team on UAT scripts
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with delivery team regarding maintenance and projects
Coordinate maintenance and project releases
Provide production support (on-call)
Follow escalation procedures when required
Collaborate with application support team for application code reviews
Collaborate with infrastructure on site performance issues
Understand and integrate third party application
Qualifications
- Candidate must be able to develop efficient, maintainable code under the standards set forth by the technology team
- Proficiency in technical and process problem solving, as well as root analysis
- Candidate must also manage timely, effective development tasks, through collaboration with technical lead and project liaison, and effectively communicating development status as requested and required.
- Candidate must be available for support during U.S. hours of 8am to 1 pm.
- Candidate must have demonstrated ability to create technical design and fully understand software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Candidate must be able to collaborate on implementation solutions across functional teams
- Demonstrate ability to handle and prioritize site initiatives
- Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audience
- Develop and effectively communicate project status/solution using such tools as project plans and Visio diagrams
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service, including (but not limited to):
Successful management of client relationships
Proficiency in written and verbal communications - Education:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field - Knowledge and Skills:
C#, .Net, SPFx
MS SQL
Power Apps and Power Automate.
Understand client server technology, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with individuals on all levels - Work Experience:
4+ years' work experience in Power Platform application development in the SPO environment.
Experience in creating technical design prior to development - Other Requirements:
Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in verbal and written modes; able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and verbal instructions
Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively
Must be able to work well under time constraints
