Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and advise students, supporting their academic and professional growth.
  • Research & Scholarship:
  • Establish and maintain a vibrant research program that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in your area of expertise.
  • Publish research findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and present work at national and international conferences.
  • Secure external funding and foster collaborative research initiatives with academic and community partners.
  • Service & Leadership:
  • Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees, contributing to curriculum development and academic planning.
  • Engage with local, national, and international academic communities through professional organizations, workshops, and conferences.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to junior faculty and students, promoting an inclusive and innovative academic culture.
  • Professional Development:
  • Stay current with emerging research, theoretical debates, and pedagogical practices within the social sciences and humanities.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives and collaborative projects that enhance the broader academic community.
  • Lead or participate in community outreach and public scholarship activities that demonstrate the societal relevance of your field.

Required Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a field within the social sciences or humanities.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research, evidenced by a strong record of publications, presentations, or creative works.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary research and a commitment to engaging with diverse theoretical frameworks and methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to mentor and inspire students.
