Lead the transition from an incumbent vendor and stand up a Shared Service QA function for a Tier-1 Telco.

Own enterprise-scale regression testing across a large digital portfolio integrating with billing platforms Compax and MATRIXX (Good to have only).

What you'll own


• Plan and execute the incumbent-to-new transition: due diligence, KT/RTKT, shadow–assist–own, runbooks, and cutover.


• Establish a Regression Factory (scope, suites, data, environments, automation strategy, CI/CD gates).


• Ensure end-to-end coverage across web, mobile, APIs/microservices, and integrations with BSS/OSS (ordering, charging/rating, catalog, provisioning).


• Build and lead a 15–40+ member cross-functional QA team; coach leads; workforce planning and shift rosters.


• Drive quality governance: DSR/MSR/QBR, risk & dependency management, SLA/OLA adherence, release readiness.


• Partner with Product/Engineering/Billing to triage defects, manage hotfixes, and stabilize releases.


• Champion test data management, environment hygiene, and service virtualization where needed.

What you'll bring


• 10–15 years in QA with 5+ years in Telco BSS/OSS; hands-on with MATRIXX (or equivalent OCS/charging). Compax exposure is a strong plus.


• Proven transition leadership for large managed QA engagements.


• Expertise in regression strategy & automation (e.g., Java/Python, Selenium/Cypress/Playwright, REST/GraphQL, Postman), API/message testing (Kafka/queues), and CI/CD (Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps).


• Solid grasp of order-to-cash flows, billing/charging, mediation, and downstream integrations.


• Tools: Jira/Xray or Zephyr, Confluence, test data tools; working knowledge of performance (JMeter/k6) preferred.


• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and incident leadership. Success in 90 days


• Signed and executed Transition Plan with green runbook.


• Baseline regression suite standardized, automated, and CI-gated for priority journeys.


• Cycle time reduced and defect leakage trending down; stable UAT/Pre-Prod environments.


• Clear governance rhythm with actionable metrics and RAG reporting.
