Job Description:Purpose - Why does this role exist?To be a part of the Plant Engineering team for maintaining the equipment and processes so as to ensure zero accidents, zero quality incidents and zero breakdowns and to achieve the plant productivityTo support shift teams to deliver the targetsPosition reports to :  Asst Manager – Mechanical (Packaging)Positions peer with :  Team Leaders in other sections like Electrical, Instrumentation/other departmentsPositions reporting :  Technicians  – MechanicalKey Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)Adherence to plant safety procedures and ensure Zero safety incidentsEnsure uptime of equipment> 95% and OEE of Packing Machines as per targetEnsure 100% statutory compliance for Legal Metrology100% PM complianceProcurement of spares and ensuring its 100% availabilityMonitoring the Power consumption per KL of Paint ProductionAdherence to budgeted costCapability building in the technicians Documentation updating and maintaining (IMS, legal, dept record, PM checklist etc)Critical TasksFaster Resolution to the issues for Equipment including Automatic Packing Machines, Robots, ConveyorsEnsure Proper Root Cause Analysis for the Breakdowns using Why-Why analysis approachImpart required training to the team membersMaintain the equipment (by preventive and breakdown maintenance) to ensure 100% uptime through asset care. Coordination with other departments for timely maintenanceSolve situational problems as and when requiredEnsure strict implementation of best practices as part of ISO 9000, 14000, Safety systems and TQMImplementation of corrective and preventive actions Maintain necessary documents as part of the above systemDecision making authority (Decisions expected)Decisions related to cost optimization Decisions related to different solutionsMaintenance related decisions Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :Educational Background and Work Experience:Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ Years' experience in Chemical/Petro chemical IndustriesCompetencies:Knowledge of Automated Packing Machines and OEE conceptKnowledge of SAPKnowledge of TPMGood Analytical and Problem Solving skillsPlanning and coordination with relevant stakeholdersAchievement orientation, Customer centricCommunication skillsKey Success Factors – Challenges:Ability to network/influence the stake holdersTeam buildingProblem Solving
