Reports To: General Manager Operations

Salary Range (Hyderabad Market Benchmark)

50,000 55,000 per month gross based on experience, brand, and property size.

Additional benefits: duty meals, uniforms.

1 Position Summary

The Front Office Manager (FOM) is responsible for overseeing all front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient check-in/check-out procedures, and effective team management. The role requires strong leadership, guest service orientation, and operational control to enhance the hotels reputation and profitability.

2 Key Responsibilities

A. Guest Service Management

  • Supervise all front office activities including reception, guest relations, concierge, and bell desk.
  • Ensure smooth check-in and check-out experiences for guests.
  • Handle VIP arrivals, guest complaints, and special requests personally.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements.
  • Maintain guest history records for personalized service.

B. Operational Management

  • Ensure daily shift briefings and smooth handovers between shifts.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, F&B, and Engineering departments for guest requirements.
  • Oversee room allocation, upgrades, and occupancy management.
  • Manage night audit processes and ensure accurate revenue posting.
  • Enforce grooming standards and professional conduct among staff.

C. Revenue & Reservation Support

  • Work closely with the Sales & Revenue teams to optimize room sales and occupancy.
  • Supervise reservation processes and ensure accuracy of booking data.
  • Monitor overbooking levels and no-shows, ensuring yield management principles are applied.
  • Promote upselling and cross-selling of hotel services.

D. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Prepare departmental budgets and control operational expenses.
  • Maintain accurate records of cash handling, billing, and credit policies.
  • Analyse front office performance reports (ADR, RevPAR, occupancy).
  • Maintain float and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.

E. Team Leadership & Training

  • Train, motivate, and lead the front office team to maintain 4-star service standards.
  • Conduct periodic performance appraisals and provide feedback.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels based on business forecasts.
  • Foster teamwork, discipline, and positive work culture.

F. Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure proper use of PMS (e.g., IDS / Opera) and related hotel software.
  • Maintain compliance with hotel SOPs, fire & safety regulations, and statutory norms.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to company policies and guest data privacy standards.

3£ Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management.
  • Minimum 1012 years of experience in the Front Office, with 23 years in managerial role , preferably in a star Hotels.
  • Strong command of English and Hindi; Telugu knowledge is an advantage.
  • Proficient in PMS, MS Office, and reservation systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
