Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Treasury Accountant

Role Overview:
The Accountant, Treasury Function is responsible for managing sundry invoice processing, cheque postings, daily reconciliations, and assisting with cash flow reporting activities.
This role supports the Treasury and Finance teams in maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring transactions are processed timely and in compliance with established controls and procedures.
Responsibilities
Invoice Management & MPP Transactions

•    Raise and manage all Sundry Invoices accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

•    Ensure all MPP (Managed Payment Platform) transactions are processed and maintained daily, reconciling them to SAP and daily reports in the required format.

•    Address and resolve any queries related to sundry invoicing or MPP discrepancies promptly.

Reconciliation & Posting Activities

•    Perform daily reconciliations of MPP balances across all relevant ledgers, ensuring completeness and accuracy within set timelines.

•    Manage the posting of cheques and related transactions within the Treasury team.

•    Post and reconcile Newsprinters Holdings Limited cash transactions accurately and in line with treasury cut-offs.

Cash Flow Reporting

•    Support weekly forecasting and monthly reporting of cash flows for Newsprinters Holdings Limited.

•    Assist in ensuring that all treasury-related accounting entries and reconciliations are completed before month-end close.
Qualifications we seek in you
Education

•    Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Experience

•    Relevant years of experience in Treasury Operations, Accounts Payable, or General Accounting.

•    Prior experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

•    Exposure to cash reconciliations and invoice management processes desirable.
Technical Skills

•    Working knowledge of SAP / ERP systems for posting and reconciliation.

•    Proficiency in Excel and basic financial reporting.

•    Understanding of treasury workflows, bank reconciliations, and accounting controls
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

•    Experience working in a corporate treasury or shared service environment.

•    Familiarity with UK or global banking processes and reconciliation practices
