Role & responsibilities

What is expected for the role

Define, develop, and integrate Augmented Reality (AR) software features for Head-Up Display (HUD) from concept to series production (e.g., AR navigation overlays, ADAS information, warning signals).

Specify and handle input/output interfaces between AR creator solutions and vehicle

systems (e.g., Unity, Rocksolid AR).

Work with embedded base software platforms (e.g., AUTOSAR Classic & Adaptive, Linux) to enable HUD functionalities.

Integrate HUD features with vehicle bus systems and data interfaces (e.g., CAN, Ethernet).

Collaborate with HMI, ADAS, infotainment systems to ensure correct functionality and synchronization.

Validate AR/HUD features under automotive conditions (e.g., latency, synchronization with vehicle data).

Implement and maintain software requirements, define interfaces, and develop integration concepts for HUD features.

Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve AR/HUD feature integration across embedded and system layers (e.g., debugging bus signals, ensuring correct timing).

Fluent English (verbal and written communication).

Full remote work.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors/master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.

4+ years of professional software engineering experience (with at least 2+ in AR/VR/MR).

Proven expertise in C++/C#, real-time rendering, and low-latency system optimization.

Hands-on experience - AR Creator tools and rendering pipelines.

Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions across domains.

Excellent communication, and cross-domain collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

In-depth knowledge of ISO functional safety) and automotive software practices.

Experience with sensor fusion (camera, radar, LiDAR) and real-time data visualization in AR contexts.

Strong proficiency with graphics APIs (e.g., Vulkan, DirectX) for rendering optimization.

Familiarity with Qt, Basemark, or other automotive visualization frameworks.

Exposure to 3D content creation tools (Blender, Maya) for rapid prototyping and asset integration.
