Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Network Engineer with 2–6 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, and cloud-managed environments. This role will focus on the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of network systems including Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto platforms. The ideal candidate will also support VPN solutions, firewall configurations, and network monitoring tools such as Nagios. You'll collaborate closely with IT Systems Engineers and IT Security Engineers to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure Management:
    Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless access points, and cloud-managed devices (Meraki).
  • Firewall & VPN Administration:
    Configure and manage firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and VPN solutions to ensure secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
    Utilize tools like Nagios to monitor network health, identify bottlenecks, and resolve performance issues proactively.
  • Cloud Networking Support:
    Manage cloud-integrated networking components and ensure seamless connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and change logs. Ensure compliance with security policies and audit requirements.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    Work alongside IT Systems and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 2–6 years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto platforms.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
  • Experience with VPN technologies and firewall rule management.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
  • Solid troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
