Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Neurological Physiotherapist to join our team in Bangalore. The position is full-time and requires 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience. This role will focus on providing specialized physiotherapy care for neurological patients as part of our multidisciplinary hospital team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience of at least 1 year and up to 3 years in neurological physiotherapy within a clinical or hospital setting is necessary to handle diverse patient needs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in gait training (Mandatory skill), essential for assisting patients in regaining mobility after neurological injuries or surgeries.
  • Strong competency in neurological assessment (Mandatory skill), enabling thorough evaluation and designing of individual treatment approaches.
  • Expertise in rehabilitation techniques (Mandatory skill), crucial for supporting patient recovery, re-education, and minimizing disabilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement goal setting strategies, working collaboratively with patients and teams to track progress and outcomes.
  • Effective patient education skills, capable of communicating complex information clearly to patients and their families for improved adherence and understanding.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic exercise, integrating evidence-based practices to optimize patient rehabilitation and functional restoration.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities to contribute positively within a multidisciplinary environment and ensure seamless care delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, evaluating patient conditions, impairments, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy plans utilizing evidence-based rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic exercises.
  • Provide gait training, balance exercises, and functional movement retraining to support patient mobility and independence.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding the rehabilitation process, prescribed exercises, and at-home care programs.
  • Set specific, measurable rehabilitation goals in coordination with the medical team and regularly monitor patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and treatment outcomes as per hospital guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with neurologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to clinical meetings and training within the physiotherapy team.
