Cost Analyst, India

Embraer Asia Pacificis seeking to recruit a Cost Analyst for the Asia Pacific region. Reporting to the Cost Engineering Supervisor, we are seeking a qualified professional with a background in Exact Sciences and solid experience in Cost Analysis and Manufacturing Processes. This role requires strong project leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across the organization.

ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will independently handle the following tasks, with responsibility for leading at least one of them. Calculate should-cost estimates using the ABC Methodology, with a focus on parts, services, and repairs. Develop machine and labour hourly rates across multiple locations.

Identify cost reduction opportunities for parts and services. Prepare and analyse supplier cost breakdowns. Conduct teardowns of parts for cost and process evaluation.

Facilitate and support cost reduction workshops with internal and external stakeholders. Perform Make or Buy analyses and economic and financial feasibility studies.

Build and maintain a technical cost database for reference and benchmarking. Analyse product competitiveness in the market. Provide cost analysis support for new product developments and design changes (PCR), as well as plant and process modifications.

Develop and standardize procedures and processes within the cost analysis area. Create theoretical production process flows to support cost analysis and decision-making. Review price adjustments based on cost structures and economic indices.

Participate in supplier visits and workshops, identifying opportunities for economic, technical, and lead time improvements. Apply a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach, considering parts/services, logistics, warranty, after-sales, and guarantees. Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Finance, Logistics, and other business units to ensure a comprehensive product and service cost view.

This position will be based in India, Bengaluru. Desired Skills and ExperienceWe are seeking to hire a motivated professional with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related field, with at least 4 to 7 years of solid experience in cost analysis, manufacturing processes, or related functions. Masters in Finance, project, business management or PMP certification would be a advantageous.

RequirementsAt least 4 to 7 years of solid experience in cost analysis, manufacturing processes, or related functions. Proficiency in Activity-Based Costing (ABC) methodology. Strong understanding of product structure systems (e.g., EPRO).

Ability to develop comprehensive costing models using diverse data inputs. Capable of comparing multiple solutions to identify the best cost-benefit outcomes.Skilled in generating guidelines and cost estimates based on assumptions and available data. Ability to deliver clear, structured presentations tailored to various organizational levels.

Sound knowledge of industrial production processes, such as machining, stamping, plastic injection, composite material, assembly, forging, and casting. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools such as Kaizen, FMEA, VSM, PDCA, 5S, RCCA, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies. OthersStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
