Company Profile (Brief)

We are a 40+ year old ballpen manufacturing company, producing plastic and metal ballpens, with a strong export focus. We actively participate in Dubai, Brazil, and Mumbai international exhibitions every year and export to Turkey, Germany, Middle East, Africa, and Thailand. We are expanding into new global markets and are looking for an experienced export sales professional to lead this growth.

Role Objective

To develop, manage, and grow international markets, strengthen distributor and key customer relationships, drive export sales, and represent the company globally at exhibitions and client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Export Sales & Market Development


• Manage and grow existing export markets: Turkey, Germany, Middle East, Africa, Thailand


• Identify and develop new international markets and distributors


• Build long-term relationships with importers, wholesalers, distributors, and corporate buyers


• Generate export inquiries and convert them into confirmed orders

Client & Channel Management


• Maintain direct contact with key international customers


• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, contracts, and payment terms


• Handle customer visits, follow-ups, and account management


• Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance teams for smooth order execution

International Travel & Exhibitions


• Travel internationally every 2–3 months for customer meetings and market development


• Represent the company at international trade fairs and exhibitions (Dubai, Brazil, India, etc.)


• Conduct product presentations and sampling meetings with buyers

Export Operations & Compliance


• Oversee export documentation, incoterms, and basic trade compliance


• Work closely with freight forwarders and clearing agents


• Ensure timely shipments and customer satisfaction

Reporting & Strategy


• Prepare monthly export sales reports and market analysis


• Provide feedback on product trends, pricing, and competitor activity


• Support management in export strategy and expansion plans

Candidate Profile

Experience & Background


• Minimum 5+ years experience in export sales of stationery / writing instruments


• Proven experience handling international customers and distributors


• Strong exposure to Turkey, Germany, Middle East, Africa, Thailand (any combination preferred)


• Experience in plastic and/or metal pen exports is a strong advantage

Skills & Competencies


• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills


• Excellent communication in English (additional languages a plus)


• Knowledge of international trade practices and export documentation


• Ability to work independently and achieve targets


• Willingness to travel internationally frequently

Education


• Graduate / Post Graduate in International Business, Marketing, or Commerce (preferred)
