Role: Network Engineer (L2/L3 Support)Work Locations Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and PhilippinesPerforms service fulfilment for request on network servicesOwn and drive incident resolutionOwn and drive root cause identification and permanent resolution of network issuesPerform moderate to complex network changesPerforms on call support during after business hour and weekend on a rotational basisCandidate Specifications:Minimum Educational LevelDiploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.Professional / Special QualificationCCNA is preferred.ITIL certification is preferred*Candidate without certifications but able to demonstrate exceptional level of knowledge and skills with proven track record may be considered.Pre-RequisiteMinimum 5-8 years of experience working in large Network Operations (>500 devices) environment within FSI hold a Level 2 engineer role or similarIntermediate to Expert Cisco Systems/Palto Alto networking knowledge and experience. Example: Routers and Switches/ FirewallsIntermediate to expert knowledge on OSPF, BGP and EIGRP Route manipulation and troubleshooting.Switching, STP/VTP knowledge; troubleshootingHands-on experience/knowledge on IOS-XE devices.Voice packet flowAdvanced Internetworking knowledge and experience.Example: TCP/IP, Traceroute, OSI 7 LayersAnalyzing Packet capture/wire shark outputCisco Wireless and ISE – Good to haveTroubleshooting incidents.Knowledge on policy implementation (Authentication/Authorization)/TACACSHas experience working with enterprise class Network Management toolsNetwork Management SystemNetwork Performance SystemPacket Capture TechnologyHas experience working with enterprise class Ticketing SystemPreferred (Advantage)Candidate with experience supporting data network in a Telecommunication company network a plus.OthersProcess orientedHighly self-driven and thrive with minimum supervisorAble to operate well in an environment where teamwork is critical.Good at handling stress and critical/difficult situationGood Telephony SkillsGood spoken, written English.
