We are seeking a talented Backend Developer with 7 years of total professional experience, including at least 4 years of relevant experience in Java, Microservices architecture, and Kafka/event-driven integration. Experience with ATG (Oracle Commerce) is considered a plus. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable backend services to support critical business applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Microservices architecture. Implement event-driven systems leveraging Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms. Build and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and other services. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and QA. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best practices. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and Agile ceremonies. Troubleshoot and optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability. Required Skills & Experience 7 years of total professional experience in software development, with at least 4 years focused on backend development using Java. Proven experience with Microservices design and implementation. Hands-on expertise with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging systems. Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and integration patterns. Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases and data modeling. Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) is a plus. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Nice to Have Experience with ATG (Oracle Commerce) platform development and customization. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with other messaging queues like RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ. Understanding of monitoring, logging, and ing tools (Prometheus, ELK stack). Awareness of security best practices for backend services.
