Position: Planning Engineer

Department: Project Planning & Coordination

Job Summary:

Preet Group is seeking proactive and detail-oriented Planning Engineers with 23 years of experience in project planning and coordination within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment. The role involves developing and monitoring project schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are executed within defined timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using suitable planning tools.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Design, Procurement, and Quality departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management review.
  • Support project managers in resource allocation, material planning, and timeline forecasting.
  • Track and analyze project metrics to support cost and time optimization.
  • Participate in project review meetings and ensure follow-up on action items.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in project planning or coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering industry.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset with effective cross-functional teamwork abilities.

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent discipline).
