Job Summary
:

We are looking for an experienced
Database Lead Administrator
with strong expertise in
PostgreSQL
to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing large-scale database environments, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and database security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of PostgreSQL database systems.
  • Manage database performance, capacity planning, and optimization.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability.
  • Work closely with development teams to support database requirements and query optimization.
  • Handle data migration, replication, and database version upgrades.
  • Establish and enforce database standards, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum
    5 years of experience
    in database administration with a focus on
    PostgreSQL
    .
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, clustering, and replication.
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with database backup, recovery, and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred / Added Advantage:

  • PostgreSQL certification
    is a strong plus.
