Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS/Azure), with a proven track record in database migrations, performance tuning, and administration. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure database performance, availability, and security while collaborating closely with global teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and ongoing administration of Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases.

Manage backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions to ensure business continuity.

Lead and execute database migration projects, including:

Oracle Microsoft SQL Server

Oracle PostgreSQL

Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to enhance database efficiency.

Implement and maintain database environments on AWS and Azure, leveraging services like AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL Database, and Azure PostgreSQL.

Use AWS DMS, Azure Database Migration Service, or similar tools for seamless cloud migrations.

Monitor and maintain database health using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, pgAdmin, SolarWinds, etc.

Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams to ensure scalable and reliable database operations.

Provide technical consultation and support to internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure documentation, compliance, and security standards are consistently maintained.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator working with Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

Proven expertise in database migration projects (Oracle SQL Server / PostgreSQL).

Strong knowledge of AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL.

Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.

Proficiency in backup and recovery strategies, replication, and disaster recovery planning.

Experience using monitoring tools (OEM, SolarWinds, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, pgAdmin, etc.).

Excellent communication and client interaction skills in global delivery environments.

Ability to work in hybrid setups and maintain 3–4 hours of client time zone overlap.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Certifications in Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS, or Azure.

Scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.

Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for database deployment automation.
