Client Overview: Our client operates in the EPC sector.

Role Summary: Work under the Deputy General Manager and prepare the designs of the AIS / GIS substation for pre-bid and detail engineering.

Experience: 10 to 15 Years as a civil structural design engineer

Qualifications: BE / B.Tech (Civil) and ME / M.Tech (Structures)

Software Proficiency: STAAD.PRO, Excel

Travel: Occasional

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Bid Design:

1. Study of tender documents and prepare technical queries.
2. Prepare the Bill of quantities for structure and civil works for tender estimates.

Detail Engineering:

1. Prepare/ review the design calculation of the support structures and foundation for the substation equipment.
2. Prepare/ review the design and details of the gantry structure and foundations.
3. Prepare/ review the design and details of earth-retaining structures.
4. Understand/ review the soil investigation report, and be able to discuss the geotechnical aspects with the geotechnical consultant or client.
5. Give necessary inputs to the draftsperson and review the civil drawings of towers, control building/ GIS building, substation equipment and cable trench.
6. Well-versed with various design standards IS Codes/ EURO Codes/ American codes, and should have worked on international projects.
7. Well-versed in seismic design and detailing of buildings and other structures
8. Review the detailed structural and fabrication drawing prepared by the fabricator.
9. Prepare the details BOQ of the civil item.
10. Issue the drawings to the site/ client
11. Technical support to the site at the time of project execution and commissioning.
12. Collection of the site data by site visit.

• Proficiency in software: Should have extensive knowledge of STAAD.PRO, Excel
• Analytical Ability: Analyses issues and breaks them down into their component. Makes systematic and rational judgments based on relevant information.
• Organising skills: Organises and schedules events, activities and resources. Sets up and monitors time-scales and plans.
