Job description :

Inventory Management:

  • Handling store SOP's, data entry, etc.
  • Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and inspect for quality.
  • Safely store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory rotation.
  • Regularly conduct stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock levels of essential materials and initiate reordering processes when necessary.

Material Issuance:

  • Process material requisitions from different departments promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approval procedures are followed for all material issuances.
  • Coordinate with the production team to fulfill material requirements on time.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Update inventory management systems or databases regularly to reflect current stock levels and transactions.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, consumption patterns, and stock movements as required.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while handling materials.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements regarding storage and handling of materials.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to identify and address any safety hazards in the stores area.

Vendor Management:

  • Liaise with vendors for timely delivery of materials and resolve any discrepancies in orders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to optimize procurement costs.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in stores operations.
  • Propose and implement initiatives to streamline inventory management and material handling procedures.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing overall departmental performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or printing environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for handling materials is advantageous.
  • Trust worthy, hard working, dedicated and willing to grow within probation period.
