The company has been consistently profitable since Oct 2021 and compounded PAT at a CAGR of ~150% in the past two years.

Rentomojo is a key beneficiary of India's rapid urbanisation story, job growth and workforce mobility. ~1mn new members join the workforce every month and 1.2mn-1.5mn employees switch jobs every month. Rentomojo offers attractive bundled rental subscriptions with zero cost of relocation and zero repair and maintenance cost at affordable cost that provides utility of EMI but not its rigidity.



Job Title:  Furniture Designer

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka

Job Type: Full-Time



Key Deliverables:

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptual Design: Create original furniture designs aligned with Rentomojo's brand ethos and customer needs, focusing on modular, space-saving, and sustainable solutions.

  • Product Development: Translate design concepts into production-ready drawings and 3D models. Collaborate with Operations and procurement team for prototyping and mass production.

  • Material & Process Innovation: Research and recommend new materials, finishes, and construction techniques for cost efficiency and durability.

  • Sustainability Focus: Integrate circular design principles, ensuring reusability, refurbishability, and minimal waste generation in product life cycles.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with category, sourcing, and marketing teams to deliver customer-centric products within timelines.

  • Trend Research: Stay updated with global design trends, ergonomics, and evolving customer preferences in home and office furniture.

  • Vendor Coordination: Support vendor evaluations, material selection, and quality checks during product development stages.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field from a reputed institute.

  • 3–6 years of experience in furniture or product design (experience in modular/home furniture preferred).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp, KeyShot, or similar 3D design tools.

  • Strong understanding of materials (wood, metal, laminates, upholstery) and manufacturing techniques.

  • Experience working with vendors, carpenters, and prototyping units.

  • Keen eye for aesthetics, functionality, and ergonomics.

  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and circular design principles will be an added advantage.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
