Position - District Coordinator - VSTF Project

Project Overview:

Palladium India is implementing projects with Hon. Balasaheb Thackeray Agribusiness & Rural Transformation Project, SMART where Palladium as Technical Support Agency (TSA) is providing handholding support for PIU- Village Social Transformation Foundation (VSTF) with an objective 'to support the development of inclusive and competitive agriculture value chains, focusing on smallholder farmers and Agri-entrepreneurs in Maharashtra'

Job Summary: The District Coordinator will oversee the successful implementation of the project at the district level. This role includes supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the efficient execution of project. The District Coordinator will work closely with local stakeholders, farmers, and other project team members to ensure that objectives are met on time and within budget.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop various reports and concept notes related to agribusiness as and when required
• Support Project Manager in monitoring of project deliverables, outcomes, and milestones.
• Conduct periodic review of schemes, budgetary outlays, expenditure patterns etc. for all programs/ schemes in Agriculture & allied sector
• Support in research, data collection, its updation and periodic analysis. Share updated data points with Project Manager to design strategies and plans
• Facilitate communication, coordination, and information sharing to enable effective project implementation
• Lead the planning and execution of awareness campaigns across the district
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions to build farmers' capacity and leadership skills within the FPOs.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to FPO leaders and members to ensure effective functioning.
• Act as the main point of contact for district-level stakeholders, including farmers, FPO members, local authorities, and vendors.
• Foster strong relationships with local partners, government agencies, and NGOs.
• Attend regular meetings with project staff to ensure smooth communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications Required:

• Any Graduate or Master's degree preferably in Agriculture, Rural Development, Management, or allied sectors.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, rural development, or agriculture-related projects.
• Experience working with farmers, FPOs, or in agricultural value chains is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders at the district level.
• Strong community engagement skills with the ability to build trust among local farmers and stakeholders.

Language:

• Hindi, English and Marathi

Working Conditions:

• Based at district office with frequent travel within the district.
• Job Location Districts are Nashik, Ahmednagar, Pune, Solapur, Satara, Beed, Jalna, Hingoli, Parbhani, Nanded, Latur, Dharashiv, Amravati, Akola, Buldhana, Washim, Chandrapur
• Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate field activities and meetings with stakeholders.
