About the Role

We are looking for a
Golang Lead Engineer
to lead backend development for our scalable virtual assistant platform. You will guide a team of talented engineers, review code for quality, and drive architectural decisions that ensure system reliability and high performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review code submissions to ensure quality, maintainability, security, and adherence to engineering best practices
  • Mentor and guide the backend engineering team through complex problem-solving and architectural decisions
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements and align on deliverables
  • Design, develop, and oversee scalable
    microservices
    supporting our platform
  • Ensure
    system reliability, performance optimization
    , and successful
    deployment of ML models
    in production
  • Conduct regular 1:1s with team members to support professional growth and technical excellence

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in
    Golang development
    within production systems
  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining
    high-traffic microservices
    and
    distributed systems
  • Strong knowledge of
    Docker
    and
    Kubernetes
    for containerization and orchestration
  • Proficiency with
    AWS services
    — S3, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, ECR, ECS, and EKS
  • Experience with
    Helm
    and
    Terraform
    for infrastructure automation
  • Familiarity with
    Datadog
    for monitoring and performance analytics
  • Strong grasp of
    GitLab CI/CD pipelines
    for automated testing and deployment
  • Experience working in
    Agile/Scrum
    environments
