Summary/ Objective
:

This job is to be part of the dynamic Payment switching product development team which caters to the needs of the Fintech space. The core technology expected is
Java with Spring framework and Golang.

Essential Functions:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain backend services using
    Java
    and
    Golang
    .
  2. Will be responsible for hands-on development and integrating REST-based applications.
  3. Will own part of a module/subsystem end-to-end, detailed design, development, unit testing, and repository release.
  4. Developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces and documentation.
  5. Develop unit-tests which meet our internal code-coverage metrics.
  6. Actively participate in the design of modules, features, and systems.
  7. Recommending solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development vs. using open source and commercial alternatives.
  8. Technical documentation on high-level and low-level design with technical implementation information for other stakeholders
  9. Contribute positively to the team´s technical growth, sharing your technical knowledge by interacting with your peers in the day-by-day activities.
  10. Analyse user requirements to determine how to translate into Java Debug and resolving technical issues.
  11. Continually engage in professional development

Competencies:

  1. Spring frameworks
    like Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud for developing a web application, REST APIs Microservices.
  2. Hands-on experience developing microservices using
    Golang
    .
  3. Knowledge of tools for unit testing, integration testing, and automation testing like Junit, Cucumber and Mockito.
  4. Familiar with some key APIs like JSON processing APIs like Jackson and Gson, XML processing APIs like JAXB and Xerces.
  5. Will be good to have knowledge over JIT, JVM options, Garbage collections, and collectors, etc.
  6. Java 8 features like lambdas and Streams to rewrite patterns like Strategy patterns.
  7. Source control tools: Git, Subversion, TFS.
  8. Familiarity with databases (e- g- MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e- g- Apache) and UI/UX design.
  9. Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e- g- C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e- g- Angular, React, Nodejs) will be a great addition.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
  • Requires Minimum
    4 to 6 years
    of qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
