Your role :

We're looking for a Junior Content Producer who can conceptualize, script, produce, and Support end to end content creation across social platforms - while staying plugged into internet culture and emerging trends.

What would you do at Khatabook?

• Ideate and write short-form scripts for: Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Ads and brand campaigns
• Actively research platform trends, formats, memes, hooks, and retention patterns
• Assist in planning, producing, and coordinating shoots: Shotlists, Scripting, Performance directions, Talent coordination
• Act on-camera when required for UGC-style videos, explainer clips, and trends
• Work closely with: Video editors, Graphic designers, Growth/performance teams
• Optimize scripts and edits for storytelling, hooks, and retention
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for messaging accuracy
• Maintain brand guidelines across tone, voice, visual cues
• Track content performance + iterate based on metrics

What are we looking for?

• 1–3 years of experience in content production or scriptwriting (agency, creator, or startup experience preferred).
• Proven ability to deliver 50–80 short-form scripts or produced pieces per month (reels, shorts, or campaign snippets).
• Ability to turn around scripts within 4–8 hours, balancing creativity and speed.
• Strong grasp of short-form storytelling — hooks, pacing, tone, and structure.
• Deep understanding of social trends, references, and hooks across platforms.
• Comfortable with basic video direction — framing, pacing, scene flow, lighting, and props setup.
• Skilled in version control and asset organization for smooth content management.
• Focused on improving watch-time, retention, CTR, shareability, and save rates.
• Confident in appearing on camera for self-shot or selfie-style sequences.
• Hands-on with production basics: lighting setup, shot composition, and framing.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a knack for problem-solving under tight deadlines.
• Organized and detail-oriented, maintaining clarity in versioning and naming conventions.
• A story-first thinker with curiosity to experiment and evolve with platform trends.

Bonus skills:

• Basic editing knowledge (Premiere Pro/CapCut)
• Experience writing for influencers or UGC creators
• Familiarity with social analytics and content performance metrics
• Basic camera handling
• Proficiency in regional languages (Hindi preferred)
