Job Title: System and Database Administrator(PostgreSQL)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced System and Database Administrator with strong expertise in PostgreSQL database management, Linux system administration, and infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will ensure the performance, integrity, and security of both system and database environments, along with providing technical support for deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:Database Administration (PostgreSQL):

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform database tuning, performance optimization, and query optimization.
• Implement database backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
• Monitor database health, manage storage, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
• Manage user access, roles, and permissions for secure database usage.
• Handle database migrations, upgrades, and version control.

System Administration:

• Manage and maintain Linux/Unix-based servers, ensuring system stability and uptime.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, OS, or network.
• Apply system updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or tools like Ansible.
• Manage application deployment environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure and maintain system logs, monitoring.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL administration (backup, restore, replication, performance tuning).
• Proficiency in Linux server management (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat).
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash/Python) for automation.
• Knowledge of database monitoring tools (pgAdmin, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, and system security.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes will be an added advantage.

Qualification:

UG: B. Tech/B.E. in Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering

PG: M Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50, ₹60,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
