We're now expanding our team in Chandigarh and looking for a seasoned **Principal PostgreSQL DBA** who also brings hands-on **Oracle DBA experience** to support our enterprise clients across the globe.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

As a senior member of our DBA team, you’ll combine expert-level technical skills with a consulting mindset to deliver and support complex database environments across PostgreSQL and Oracle:

- Lead architecture, design, implementation, and support of enterprise-grade PostgreSQL environments
- Handle PostgreSQL administration: installation, configuration, PITR, replication, clustering, and upgrades/migrations
- Provide end-to-end Oracle support: CDB/PDB management, cross-platform migrations, patching, performance tuning, and backups
- Tune databases using tools like OEM 13c, AWR, ADDM, and ORAchk
- Design and implement automation using Shell, Python, Ansible, and Terraform
- Collaborate closely with project managers and client stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and support
- Proactively resolve incidents and drive performance optimization for mission-critical databases
- Work across on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, OCI, Azure)

**What You Bring**

**Must-Have Skills**:

- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a **PostgreSQL DBA**:

- 5+ years of experience as an **Oracle DBA**:

- Proven experience supporting production environments and working in consulting or customer-facing roles
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL in cloud (especially AWS/Aurora) and on-prem environments
- Deep experience in database performance tuning and advanced troubleshooting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent hands-on experience

**Nice-to-Haves**:

- Familiarity with **Oracle Engineered Systems** (Exadata, ODA, ZFS)
- Working knowledge of **OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP**:

- Hands-on experience with **automation tools** (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform)
- Exposure to **DevOps practices** and CI/CD pipelines
- Oracle and/or PostgreSQL certifications
- Strong understanding of **Linux, storage, and networking**
