Job Title: Database Developer & Administrator

Location: Chandigarh

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Developer DBA who can handle both Database Administration tasks and Database Development. The ideal candidate must not only manage, secure, and maintain databases but also support the development team by writing optimized stored procedures, queries, functions, and database objects to support application development and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Development:

  • Develop and optimize Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, and SQL scripts.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design efficient database structures and data models.
  • Write high-performance SQL queries and optimize existing queries for faster execution.
  • Participate in application development discussions to suggest best database practices.
  • Support developers in debugging and tuning SQL performance issues.

Database Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SQL database servers.
  • Monitor database performance, availability, and security.
  • Perform backup, recovery, replication, and high availability operations.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Monitor and manage indexes, partitions, and query execution plans.
  • Handle user access management, roles, and permissions.
  • Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle (Mention as per requirement).
  • Proven experience in writing optimized stored procedures, functions, and SQL queries.
  • Experience with Query Optimization, Performance Tuning, Execution Plans, and Index Management.
  • Hands-on experience in Database Backup, Restore, Mirroring, Clustering, and Replication.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, normalization, data modeling, and ER diagrams.
  • Familiar with IIS / Application servers and deployment environments (if applicable).
  • Experience with ETL processes, data migration, and reporting tools is an added advantage.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualification:

UG: B. Tech/B.E. in Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Related field

PG: MTech. in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, MCA, MS/M.Sc(Science)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹60,000.00 per month
