WordPress Developer (PHP / JavaScript / Front-End)

Location: Remote

Experience: 3 to 5+years

About the Role:

Were looking for an experienced WordPress Developer skilled in PHP, JavaScript, and front-end technologies to build high-performance websites and WooCommerce solutions. Youll handle the full development lifecycle—from scoping and implementation to QA and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom themes and plugins following WordPress coding standards.
  • Extend and customize WooCommerce (checkout, payments, shipping, product logic).
  • Convert Figma/Sketch designs into responsive, accessible front-end interfaces.
  • Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs and third-party services.
  • Optimize site performance (Core Web Vitals), caching, and SEO schema (JSON-LD).
  • Work with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years in WordPress (PHP 7/8) with hands-on theme and plugin development.
  • Strong JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and responsive UI skills.
  • Solid understanding of hooks, filters, custom post types, and caching.
  • Experience with WooCommerce customization and API integrations.
  • Familiar with performance tuning, asset bundling (Vite/Webpack), and lazy loading.
  • Proficient with Git, Jira, and CI (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI).

Nice to Have:

  • Headless WordPress (WPGraphQL, ).
  • Experience with , Stripe, Cybersource, Tabby, Tamara.
  • Knowledge of Cloudflare, Nginx/Apache, Docker, and WP-CLI.
  • Familiarity with Algolia, SEO schema, and Arabic/RTL development.
