A Senior IT Operational Analyst monitors, analyzes, and improves IT systems and processes, acting as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams. Key responsibilities include performing root cause analysis, leading troubleshooting efforts, implementing process improvements, and ensuring operational excellence through data-driven insights and collaboration with cross-functional teams. They are also responsible for defining and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

  • System monitoring and analysis:Monitor operational systems, analyze performance data, and conduct root cause analysis for issues, outages, or inefficiencies.
  • Issue resolution:Lead the effort to troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Process improvement:Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:Partner with development, product management, QA, and other teams to guide system enhancements and ensure operational needs are met.
  • Stakeholder communication:Act as a liaison to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Project management:Oversee multiple projects, defining scope, goals, and deliverables to ensure they are executed on time and within budget.
  • Reporting and metrics:Develop and refine operational metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress.
  • Continuous improvement:Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and provide training to operational teams on new processes and tools.
