As an Associate Security Technology Sales Specialist at NTT DATA, you'll embark on an exciting journey as an entry-level subject matter expert, focusing on landing qualified leads. As a Sales Specialist, you are also responsible for generating your own pipeline and opportunities within your assigned client base. Your primary responsibility will be to identify new opportunities within existing accounts and present tailored security solutions that align with client needs. You'll collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to create value propositions and revenue models.
You'll play a vital role in the pre-sales process by working with pre-sales architects to design the best solutions for our clients. By building strong relationships with stakeholders and clients, you'll support the sales process by engaging directly with clients and assisting Client Managers in closing deals. Your day will include presenting security solutions, addressing technology challenges, and staying abreast of market trends and the competitive landscape.
A significant part of your day will be spent developing and maintaining a deep understanding of security technologies and our product offerings. You'll work with technology vendors to understand their solutions and how they contribute to our service portfolio. This role also involves articulating organizational value propositions throughout the sales process, ensuring client requirements are met with the right security solutions.
Your role will involve maintaining accurate sales forecasts, developing opportunity plans, and executing sales strategies to achieve your targets. By continuously developing your subject matter expertise in security, you'll help optimize our sales approach and contribute to the broader goals of the team. You'll also identify, assess, and highlight potential risks to client organizations while working closely with in-territory counterparts.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- A good understanding of security principles, concepts, and technologies (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, network and DATA security).
- Basic experience in solution-based selling with a proven track record of surpassing sales targets.
- Knowledge of competitive sales strategies and the ability to apply them successfully.
- The ability to deliver engaging sales presentations and use a consultative approach to understand client needs.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining customer relationships up to the C-level.
- Strong negotiation skills to create beneficial solutions for customers and NTT DATA.
- A client-centric attitude with a knack for understanding and solving customer problems.
- Some sales experience in a technology or services environment, preferably within a global IT services organization.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in information technology/systems, sales, or a related field.
- Industry/Vendor sales certifications required.
