We are looking for Second-line Manager - Data Products & Services and AI Development for this strategic leadership role who is responsible for managing and scaling two critical technical functions: Data Engineering and AI Development. The Second line Manager will serve as a leader, directly overseeing first-line managers and their respective teams and drive the AI mission. The role is designed to ensure operational excellence, technical innovation, and alignment with global business objectives. The Second Line Manager will act as a key conduit between global strategy and local execution, translating high-level goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

This is how you'll make an impact:

- Lead and manage multiple first-line managers across the Data Engineering and AI Development domains.
- Build and nurture a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
- Drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, career development, and succession planning for the India teams.

- Ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructure and pipelines to support enterprise analytics and AI initiatives.
- Oversee the development, deployment, and lifecycle management of AI models and solutions, ensuring alignment with business use cases and ethical standards.
- Promote the adoption of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, MLOps, data observability, and model governance.

- Work closely with the US-based leadership to understand and internalize the strategic vision for data and AI.
- Localize and operationalize strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and feedback loops.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on team performance, delivery milestones, and innovation outcomes.

- Partner with global and regional stakeholders across IT, business units, product teams, and data governance to ensure alignment and integration of data and AI capabilities.
- Represent the Kolkata teams in global forums, contributing to strategic planning, innovation discussions, and enterprise-wide initiatives.

- Ensure adherence to internal policies, data privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Champion responsible for AI practices and data stewardship across all initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15+ Years of overall experience including at least 3 years of experience as manager driving technical deliveries and people management
• Broad proficiency in Data and AI
• Proven ability to work in matrixed, global delivery environments
• Demonstrated success in leading and managing technical delivery teams 
• Effective communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders 
• Strategic and conceptual thinker
• High personal integrity, prioritizing the needs of customers and employees 
• A record of accomplishment of influencing change and driving success 
• Adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic environments
