Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled Lead AI Developer to lead the development of our data and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with a strong background from a service-based company, who can not only design and develop advanced AI solutions but also mentor a team of junior and mid-level developers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills to drive innovation and deliver robust, scalable AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and Develop: Design, develop, and deploy complex AI/ML models, algorithms, and systems, including those based on deep learning and generative AI.

Technical Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on AI technologies, staying abreast of the latest trends, frameworks (like TensorFlow, PyTorch), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of AI developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the AI strategy, identify business opportunities for AI implementation, and translate business needs into technical requirements.

Solution Integration: Ensure seamless integration of AI solutions with existing business systems and software, building scalable and production-ready pipelines.

Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain high standards for code quality, model accuracy, and system performance.

Key Requirements

Educational Background:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Work Experience: Approximately 10 years of professional experience in AI/ML development, with a significant portion of that time in a service-based organization.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in Python and strong proficiency in machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).

Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision, or Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.

Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying and managing AI services.

Hands-on experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data processing pipelines.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Nice to Have

Experience with MLOps, vector databases, and RAG frameworks.

Knowledge of multi-modal AI, AutoML, or reinforcement learning.

Certifications in cloud AI/ML (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Contributions to open-source projects, research, or patents.

Domain expertise in industries like FinTech, Healthcare, or Retail.
