Role & responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed CAD drawings for fabrication based on project requirements.
  • Review and interpret client drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
  • Create general arrangement (GA) drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Coordinate with the design, production, and QA teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Make revisions and updates to drawings as per client or internal feedback.
  • Maintain drawing records and ensure proper filing and document control.
  • Assist in developing standard drawing templates and library blocks for recurring components.
  • Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve drawing-related discrepancies.
  • Support estimation and proposal teams with preliminary drawings when required.

Preferred candidate profile

  • BE/ Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Drafting or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in CAD drafting (preferably in Steel Fabrication/ Gratings/ FRP industry).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and basic knowledge of other drafting software (Tekal) is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and coordinate with multiple departments.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
