Business analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and driven Business Analyst with a focus on the Product Domain to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the product management or product development space, helping drive product strategy and development through comprehensive analysis. You will work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the product vision is accurately translated into actionable requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

• Collaborate with stakeholders (product managers, UX/UI designers, engineers,Clients etc.) to gather and document detailed business requirements, product specifications, and user stories.
• Analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance product functionality and usability.
• Perform gap analysis between current and future product states.

2. Product Strategy and Roadmap:

• Work closely with the Product team to define product features and prioritize them based on business value, customer needs, and market trends.
• Participate in product roadmap planning and ensure that business requirements are well-aligned with product goals.

3. Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and other cross-functional teams to ensure all requirements are understood and prioritized.

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project progress, milestones, and any changes to the project scope.

4. User Story Creation and Documentation:

• Create and manage detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and wireframes to ensure a clear understanding of the product features.
• Ensure that all requirements are well-documented and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base for the product team.

5. Testing and Validation:

• Assist in the creation of test plans and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the product meets business requirements and quality standards.
• Work closely with QA teams to verify that product features are delivered according to specifications and business needs.

6. Data and Metrics Analysis:

• Analyze product performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and support data-driven decision-making.
• Create reports and dashboards to track the product's progress, feature adoption, and overall success.

7. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in product management and business analysis.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, product enhancements, and innovations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, preferably within the product domain.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Technical Skills:

• Proficient in requirements gathering, documentation (user stories, business requirements), and use case creation.

• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence,Hubspot).

• Analytical Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and convert them into clear product requirements.
• Communication Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present and explain complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Domain Knowledge:
• Previous experience in the product domain, understanding product life cycles, user journeys, and product design processes.

Knowledge of UX/UI principles and how they relate to product development is a plus.

• Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) for reporting purposes.
• Experience in Agile and Scrum environments, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices.
• Familiarity with product design and development processes, particularly in the software or tech industry.
