Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Reporting To: Technical Head / Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment used in various industrial and project applications. The role involves working closely with design, production, and project teams to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in all mechanical aspects of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review mechanical drawings, 2D models, and fabrication layouts using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
  • Assist in designing mechanical components, assemblies, and process equipment such as tanks, skids, and piping systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and the purchase department for component selection, material specifications, and quotations.
  • Oversee fabrication, assembly, and installation activities at the workshop or site.
  • Conduct mechanical testing, inspection, and performance validation of fabricated equipment.
  • Support the project team during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at client sites.
  • Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), technical documentation, and reports.
  • Ensure all designs and operations comply with industry codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and design teams to develop new mechanical solutions or improve existing designs.
  • Participate in client meetings and technical discussions as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in design, fabrication, or project execution (freshers with strong fundamentals may also apply).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
  • Understanding of fabrication drawings, GD&T, and mechanical calculations.
  • Knowledge of piping, welding etc.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication, teamwork, and analytical abilities.
  • Other: Willingness to travel for project or site work as required.

Salary Range: As per company norms and experience.
