Job brief:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Area Sales Manager (Medical Device) to lead sales operations and drive revenue growth within a defined geographic territory. This role demands a strategic thinker who can manage a team, execute territory plans, and consistently deliver on aggressive sales targets. You'll be expected to not only hit the numbers but to build and maintain a competitive edge in your area through smart planning, relentless follow-up, and strong stakeholder management.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute area-level sales strategies aligned with company targets.
- Manage, mentor, and drive performance of Territory Sales Officers/Executives.
- Monitor KPIs and sales performance metrics; adjust tactics as needed to meet or exceed targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and key accounts to penetrate.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and channel partners.
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback loops.
- Ensure timely reporting, forecasting, and CRM data accuracy.
- Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and product teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–10 years of proven sales experience.
- Experience in medical device sale is must.
- Deep understanding of the regional market and channel dynamics.
- Strong negotiation, people management, and communication skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in using CRM and sales tracking tools.
- Must be self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
