About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and organized Project Coordinator / Junior Project Manager to support our Development Team based primarily in the UK. The ideal candidate will work closely with the UK team to ensure project tasks are tracked, timelines are met, and development activities are aligned with the overall product roadmap.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys planning, communication, and helping teams stay organized. You do not need extensive experience — just strong coordination, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
Key Responsibilities- Task & Ticket Management:
- Maintain and update project tickets, tasks, and actions in the project tracking system and ensure that theya re being completed and assigned to the correct sprint
- Ensure all tasks are assigned, progress is tracked, and deadlines are visible and realistic.
- Assign budgeted time per task with the Dev lead and track this against actual time taken and work with dev lead when timings do not match.
- Roadmap Tracking:
- Support the Head of Development in maintaining and updating the development roadmap.
- Ensure upcoming work is clearly lined up for the team.
- Ensure all tickets created against projects are identified and categorized in priority
- Meeting Support:
- Join development and planning meetings to take notes and document key actions, decisions, and next steps.
- Follow up with team members on assigned actions and ensure they are completed.
- Team Coordination:
- Act as a communication bridge between the UK and other teams, both in the UK and India including the development, business as usual, operations and the PMO..
- Schedule and organize check-ins with the UK team (typically in the afternoon India time).
- Ensure team members have clear priorities and deliverables for the day/week.
- Administrative Support:
- Manage and review timesheets submitted by the development team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare simple project status reports and dashboards for review.
- Process Improvement:
- Suggest improvements to workflow, documentation, and reporting to enhance overall efficiency.
- Morning (India): Independent planning, task and ticket management, admin updates.
- Afternoon (India): Collaboration and check-ins with the UK team (to overlap time zones).
- Partial or complete project management certification.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with task/project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, ClickUp, or similar) – although you will be trained on our own internal tools.
- Basic understanding of software development or IT projects (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, take ownership and maintain attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in a coordination, admin, or junior PM role within a software or IT company.
- Experience preparing status reports and documenting meeting minutes.
- Interest in technology or SaaS products.
