What you'll do

We're looking for an Expert DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation that powers SAP business applications. You will work closely with CloudOps teams to streamline deployment processes, improve system reliability, and ensure scalability across multiple cloud environments.

• Analyse business requirements and architect scalable, forward-thinking technical solutions for Infrastructure automation.

• Take ownership of production support by proactively troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and driving root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

• Design, build, and continuously enhance automation frameworks to provision cloud resources, prioritizing performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.

• Deploy applications using modern GitOps workflows, leveraging ArgoCD, Helm, and Kubernetes operators/CRDs.

• Conduct thorough code reviews, integration testing, and documentation to uphold the reliability and maintainability of deployments.

• Implement continuous integration/ continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure that changes are tested, approved, and deployed in an automated and secure manner.

Role Requirements

• 12+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer in designing, building, and supporting infrastructure automation with Kubernetes on hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Proficient in DevOps tasks and collaborating with architects, software engineers, and SREs to streamline service integration, observability, and delivery of automation services.

• Experience in networking, storage systems architecture, virtualization, containers and serverless technologies.

• Strong understanding of enterprise automation, and modern software engineering practices and hands-on experience with:

• • Configuration Management Tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
• • Build Systems such as Jenkins (preferred), Bamboo, Travis, CircleCI
• • Infrastructure Orchestration Tools such as CrossPlane (preferred), Terraform
• • Container Orchestration Technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift
• • Logging Systems such as Elastic Stack or Splunk
• • Monitoring Systems such as Dynatrace, NewRelic or Appdynamics

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with product managers, Enterprise architects, and technical leads.

• Experience with GitOps pipelines for deploying cloud infrastructure with version control.

• Knowledge of cloud and application security concepts like encryption (at rest and in transit) and the use of certificates and secrets within an application.

• Proficiency with development languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, Java, Go; and a solid understanding of API development and Micro-service architectures.

• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).

• Experience with Git-based workflows, artifact repositories, and CI/CD tooling.

• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OCI Monitoring).

• Understanding of security fundamentals at the hypervisor and operating system levels

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) is required.

• A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a lack of fear of learning something new. You should be open to learn from others and willing to help mentor and teach.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a proactive mindset.

• Experience in Travel and Procurement a plus

• Excellent communication in English.
