Gurgaon, Haryana, India S&P Global Full time ₹ 24,00,000 - ₹ 36,00,000 per year

About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use): 05

Our Apprenticeship Program:

The apprenticeship is a skill training program governed by The Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (India), where individuals have the chance to partner with our industry experts, with on-the-job experience focusing on high impact work that allows you to apply and develop your skills. Networking, business insights and tailored learning opportunities all support your growth and development, setting you up for success as you begin your career.

S&P Global is looking to hire young fresh graduates and postgraduates, specifically 2024 and 2025 pass-outs, for a 12-month apprenticeship program.

The Team:

S&P Global Market Intelligence's Corporate Actions (MCA) service is a centralized, best-in-class source of validated corporate action announcements covering three million securities globally, including equities, fixed income, and structured finance. It streamlines the collection, validation, and dissemination of corporate actions as a single-source solution for clients. The Corporate Actions Product Services Team—based in India, Singapore, London, New York, and Dallas—handles validation research, client support and onboarding, vendor management, quality control, and strategic support for operational and product initiatives. Emphasizing accuracy and global collaboration, the team validates corporate actions from inception, cleansing data received from vendor feeds to deliver enriched, multi-sourced records that help clients make informed investment decisions and allocate entitlements.

Impact:

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-impact, global team contributing to a market-leading product. The apprentice will gain exposure to strategic operations, high-value clients, and data validation processes for global financial markets. There's room for development through special projects, user acceptance testing, and process optimization initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Review and validate corporate action announcements for equities, fixed income, and structured finance securities.

Conduct thorough research using various sources including prospectuses, exchanges, and company communications.

Interface with external parties like transfer agents, custodians, and exchange officials for detailed event clarification.

Investigate and resolve exceptions identified in daily reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with global teams to identify and implement procedural enhancements and quality improvements.

Participate in user acceptance testing and contribute to strategic and revenue-impacting projects.

What We're Looking For:

MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM or a similar full-time master's in business management, preferably in Finance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with teammates across roles and locations, external information sources, and clients.

Prior experience in corporate actions, financial operations, or market data is a plus.

Familiarity with vendor feeds, SLAs, and global financial market practices.

Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Flexibility to work across time zones and support a global client base.
