Job Description:

Infrastructure and Network Monitoring Engineer

We are seeking a Infrastructure & Network Monitoring Engineer to join our Center of Excellence team. This role is responsible for monitoring and supporting the organization's infrastructure, including network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls), on-prem servers, and conference room setups. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of network systems, server administration, and the tools required to ensure uptime and performance.

Technologies: Network monitoring tools and Server Administration

Process: ITIL and Agile(Scrum/Kanban)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network infrastructure, servers, and systems using tools like OpManager, SolarWinds, PRTG, or Zabbix.
• Identify and escalate network or system performance issues to senior engineers.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic connectivity issues and performance degradation.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and system health reports as per best practices.
• Monitor the health of conference rooms and escalate incidents with conference rooms and collaboration equipment to respective teams.
• Support end-users with basic IT issues related to network access and collaboration tools.
• Ensure smooth operation of video conferencing tools (Microsoft Teams) by assisting with setup and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records of system configurations and monitoring activities.
• Collaborate with IT teams to improve monitoring processes and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT support, network monitoring, or system administration.
• Experience with network/system monitoring tools (OpManager, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, etc.).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Certifications (Preferred but not required): CompTIA Network+ or ITIL Foundation.
