Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic State Head – Telangana to lead solar sales across the state. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Residential and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar sales, proven team-handling capabilities, and deep market knowledge of the Telangana solar ecosystem.

This is a strategic and field-intensive role requiring strong market understanding, customer engagement, and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute a business development plan for the Telangana market.
  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional solar projects.
  • Drive end-to-end sales from lead generation to negotiation and final closure.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and installation targets.

2. Market Research & Expansion

  • Analyze market demand, competitor offerings, pricing trends, and new opportunities in Telangana.
  • Build and expand channel partner networks (dealers, distributors, consultants).
  • Identify large-scale industrial clusters and potential high-value clients.

3. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and site assessments with potential clients.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Follow up on proposals, documentation, and agreements to ensure timely closure.

4. Coordination & Project Support

  • Coordinate with the engineering, design, and project teams for seamless project execution.
  • Ensure feasibility reports, site surveys, and layouts are aligned with client expectations.
  • Assist in tender documentation, techno-commercial proposals, and compliance requirements.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed MIS, daily sales tracker, pipeline reports, and CRM updates.
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales performance reports to management.
  • Maintain records of proposals, agreements, technical submissions, and customer communication.

6. Branding & Market Outreach

  • Represent Kapil Power & Infra in exhibitions, awareness programs, and industry events.
  • Support marketing activities and promotional campaigns in the region.
  • Build strong brand visibility across Telangana through networking and relationship-building.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (EEE/Mechanical preferred), Business, Marketing, or related fields.
  • MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of solar PV concepts, feasibility, ROI calculations, and basic technical parameters.
  • Ability to assess site feasibility and interpret engineering drawings (preferred).
  • Familiarity with government solar policies, net-metering guidelines, and subsidy structures.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and close deals.
  • Good presentation and client-handling skills.
  • Excellent time management and field planning.

Experience

  • 3–10 years of direct experience in solar sales / renewable energy / EPC solutions.
  • Must have strong experience in Residential + C&I solar sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience handling industrial and commercial clients is highly preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the Telangana region.
