Urgent hiring Production Supervisor for Manufacturer of Pumps and Valves

Location - Bakrol, Ahmedabad

  • Key responsibilities
  • Production oversight: Supervise and coordinate the daily manufacturing operations for the assembly, testing, and finishing of pumps and valves.
  • Planning and scheduling: Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines and optimize resource allocation.
  • Quality control: Enforce quality standards and protocols throughout the production process, from the initial machining to final inspection and testing.
  • Inspect products for compliance with specifications and industry standards like ASME, API, and ISO.
  • Address and resolve non-conformities and quality-related issues in coordination with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Team leadership and development:
  • Guide, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Manage employee performance, including providing feedback, conducting evaluations, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Operational excellence:
  • Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Safety compliance:
  • Implement and enforce all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, address potential hazards, and report incidents.
  • Cross-functional coordination:
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and supply chain, to resolve production issues and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and labor hours for management reporting.
  • Qualifications and skills
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is typically preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in the pump and valve industry, especially in assembly and testing, is a significant advantage.
  • Technical knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of pump and valve manufacturing processes, including assembly and pressure testing.
  • Familiarity with industry-relevant standards (e.g., ASME, API) and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
